Dr.Elif Atayman: Elif worked as a visual director at the Turkish national TV channels Show TV, Star TV and Channel 6 after graduating from one of Turkey’s most prominent film schools, Dokuz Eylul University. After a short maternity leave she began her career as a publicist working for a local Istanbul mayor, Mustafa Sarigul, for the next 11-years, helping him win a record three consecutive terms in the office. Her research and study on “Political Cinema: Costa Gavras” earned her a doctorate degree in 2010 at the Marmara University’s Department of Film and Television. Her work in communications consultancy has been with various institutions and prominent political figures. Elif continues to teach at a private university. Simin Atayman, MBA: After receiving her BA degree in Sociology at Koç University, Simin started her career working in a multinational pharmaceutical company, AstraZeneca. After gaining experience in Marketing and Sales in this industry for five years, she went on to do her Masters degree in Business Administration in the U.S. Simin worked for a San Francisco-based event organization company during this time, effectively running events such as the San Francisco Film Festival, San Francisco Airport 2nd terminal opening, the launch of the Palm Pre phone and the launch of Pixar’s “Wall-E” movie. She secured key sponsors for these events as well. Simin also organized activities, concerts and cultural events to bring the Turkish community in the Bay Area together.

Famona Rose: With a degree in Psychology and French from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Certificate in Marketing from University of Technology in Sydney, Famona started working in marketing and communications for the global IT outsourcer CSC. After five years, and working her way to a communications manager role, she moved to an internal communications specialist role at
Thomson Reuters in 2006. Famona specializes in internal communications, especially with assisting managers to communicate more effectively. This includes the management and planning of communications around changing priorities of the company through the most effective channels. She has worked across teams in many countries and with varied cultures.

Barış Atayman: Baris graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Economics in 2004. He began his journalistic training in 2001 with the Reuters News Agency, starting as a cameraman and moving up to a senior producer role. In his role as a senior producer in charge of Asia-Pacific region in Sydney bureau for five years, he helped to improve sales and he also traveled to war zones as a producer. After working for ten years for Reuters, he decided to join the family business. Currently, he is helping Atayman PR’s clients with his global journalism expertise, while at the same time working as a planning producer for Al Jazeera Turk.
